Aw that sounds awesome!
I don't think you can explain without breaking rules but would i be able to get one on a
R4 card? I can probably handle it from there

Are there any other differences like items being less effective? That'd be kinda lame but he challenge sounds brilliant think i'll try Fire Red on my pone...althoygh the sound goes weird. For advance games so maybe not...
Other than the first 2 rules (Faint = Death and only catch the first pokemon of every route) there are no set-in-stone rules but many players add their own such as:
Nickname every pokemon (This is so common it may as well be an official rule)
No healing items
Once you have 6 pokemon you can't catch anymore until another one dies
Only buy pokeballs (no great balls, ultra balls etc)
No running from wild battles
Your pokemon cannot be higher than the next gym leaders highest pokemon
Set the battle style to "set" (This means the game won't ask you if you want to switch pokemon whenever the opponent sends out a new one, meaning you'll take a hit if you do want to switch).

You can even put variants on the rules themselves, for example you could have the no healing items rule but allow yourself to buy them just before the elite 4.
One of the common things people do with the first pokemon per route thing is allow a "dupes clause". This basically means if the first pokemon you find on a route is a pokemon you already own then you can try again, some people have a limit (I myself use dupes clause but I only get a single second chance to catch another poke) while others just let you catch the first poke of the route that you do not own regardless of how many dupes you run in to.

But yeah other than the first 2 rules you make the rules yourself.

Do not forget the loved shiny rule: If you see a shiny pokémon, you're always allowed to catch it. :P

Topic's open again! (Thanks LC!)

I wanted to stop by and say that I'm doing a nuzlocke of Pokémon Platinum, just won against Jupiter. I've got Monferno (Level 17), Staravia (Lvl 19), Golbat (Lvl 22), Budew (Lvl 18), Luxio (Lvl 18) and Psyduck (Lvl 20). I think I can keep this team for a while.
